Adam holds a Bachelors degree in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina, and a Masters of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology. After a 17-year career in non-profit organizations and humanitarian work, including service overseas and working with refugee communities stateside, Adam joined Tesla, where he worked in sales and management in Atlanta. His time at Tesla gave him a foundational perspective on the emerging energy transition, as well as the people and technology that are driving it. He later ran sales operations at a top-rated roofing company and now draws on this experience to guide solar customers regarding roof replacement and compatibility. His understanding of business operations allows him to custom-fit recommendations for commercial solar customers. Adam takes an educational approach with all his customers, helping them to increase their understanding of solar power’s many benefits as they consider their energy choices. He enjoys science fiction, gardening, raising goats, and camping with his family in the great outdoors.

Steven Sutherland - Solar Consultant

headshot of a man

Steven Sutherland spent most of his life as an actor for film and television, starring in several feature films. He moved to Georgia to pursue acting and eventually found his way behind the camera working for various Marvel films such as Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: End Game, and Ant-Man and the Wasp. It was when he moved to Georgia that he met AES founder Montana Busch and started gaining a passion for solar energy. Steven takes great pride in calling himself a consultant rather than a salesman. “The truth is, I’m not here to sell you anything. I’m here to guide you and help your process, so that you get the solar design that best fits your needs and expectations.”

Since Steven started with Alternative Energy Southeast, he’s broken records in sales and has been building serious connections and friendships with clients along the way. “It’s truly about building relationships. It’s about finding out what the customer wants and going out of my way to make that happen for them.”

The work crew was terrific - very conscientious, courteous, cordial, not bad language! The electrical inspector said that the job was the best he has seen in a long time!... Terrific solar company.

"I will go straight to AES next time I need help"
AES removed and re-installed our solar system so that our house could be re-roofed. They were responsive, friendly, and professional... I will go straight to AES next time I need help with our system, or decide to add more panels.
    - Robert C
    Athens, GA
"We were completely satisfied with the work AES has done for us."
Alternative Energy Southeast (AES) did an excellent job installing our 15 panels in one day and cleaned up after themselves... and now we are enjoying days with less than 50% of our power coming from the grid!... We were completely satisfied with the work AES has done for us. AES is an honest, knowledgeable and efficient company that is a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommend them as a choice for a well designed and properly installed solar system.
    - Bob K.
    Athens, GA
"I highly recommend this company if you decide to pursue solar power for your home or business."
It's still early in the ownership phase, but so far I'm very pleased. The initial cost was honestly higher than I expected, but even with conservative numbers, I should get an ROI within 8 years... My rep was Aaron, and he promised that I would have the system up and running by the end of the year, and he was correct. He also spent a lot of time on the phone answering a ton of questions. I highly recommend this company if you decide to pursue solar power for your home or business.
    - Robert B
